  • Slideshows of Images:- Content that is based on images, which are played in succession
  • Text Montages:- Content, which is primary displayed with images and overlaid by text.
  • Embedded Ads:- Content which already contains embedded ads where Instagram also offers Ads placements

Prohibited Behavior

Content including following behavior shall not be monetized-

1. Engagement Bait:- Content that pays people for liking, responding and sharing shall fall under prohibited behavior

2. Soliciting Engagement :- Content that requests for compensation for the exchange of showing these following content-

  • Consumption of the inedible substances
  • Showing sensitive graphic content
  • Consumption of drugs, tobacco or alcohol
  • Disrobing and other misbehaviors 

Prohibited Categories

If your content falls any of below mentioned categories, it shall not be approved for monetization-

  • Misinformation:- Content which has been objected by third party for being or spreading false information 
  • Misleading Medical Information:- If your content contains any claim related to medical information and it is disapproved by expert organization.
  • Unoriginal Content:- You must be aware of this, that content, which is real or created by creators and publishers, or they are involved in the creation will be monetized. If the content is not real, or reproduced without any meaningful change, enhancement or editing will not be monetized.

Restricted Categories 

In case your content falls under any of these categories, it may face reduction on monetization or restriction-

1. Debated Social Issues:- If your content is all about having a debate on any of these topics, it may face restriction, as these subjects are not appropriate for monetization:-

  • National Origin
  • Age
  • Political affiliation
  • Ethnicity
  • Disability

  • Immigration

Strong Language

Explicit Content
